Christian is correct, the latest version of Wikka should run without
the deprecation errors you note.  

When I was doing my development on an iBook, I seem to recall some
quirkiness with the PHP5 under OS/X.  I'll have to look back through
my notes and see what the solution was that I came up with.  I do seem
to recall it was PHP-related, not Wikka-related.

We are working diligently on a 1.3 release.  It's actually available
for download via SVN.  Just a matter of getting life to pause long
enough to get the release out!
