hi alex,

have a look at your cookies, after login you should have a 
'user_name at ....' and a 'pass at ....' cookie from your site in your 
keksdose. in FF its convenient to find in edit - settings - privacy - 
show cookies (bearbeiten - einstellungen - datenschutz - cookies 
anzeigen). i remember there was an old thread, maybe a year ago, with a 
server side wrong set cookie path or similar, should to be to find in 
the archives. maybe this helps a little.
